EDUCATION & INNOVATION
Digital Neurosurgery
Cairo Greifswald Neurosurgery is committed to enhancing the process of digitalisation in the field of Neurosurgery. With the rise of digital solutions for medical practices, the role of Artificial Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology, and Digital Education is increasingly indispensable in health care. To address this topical matter, Cairo Greifswald Neurosurgery integrates these innovative approaches within both its research and educational programmes. In this regard, the scientific platform highly values fostering interdisciplinarity.
DIGITALISATION INÂ ACTION
In the scope of Cairo Greifszwald Neurosurgery advancing digitalisation, the scientific platform is conducting active research in collaboration with the German University in Cairo. Artificial Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology are thereby central drivers in joint research engagements. Besides research, the platform also actively implements digital education in the form of blended learning. The project is as well highly invested in visualising the experience based-knowledge and the positive effects of blended learning and digitalisation in the field of Neurosurgery by means of publications and expert sessions.
DIGITAL NEUROSURGERY PROJECT
The Digital Neurosurgery project represents a joint effort between the Departments of Neurosurgery at Kasr Alainy School of Medicine, Cairo University, the Greifswald Medical School, University of Greifswald, and the German University in Cairo, to promote and explore digital approaches and solutions in the field of Neurosurgery.
BLENDED LEARNING
Blended Learning is the core educational strategy in the Cairo Greifswald Neursurgery programmes.
VISUALISATION
In the framework of the Digital Neurosurgery project, Cairo Greifswald Neurosurgery was a core contributor to a DAAD expert session. This expert session was dedicated to innovative approaches and the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Neurosurgery and highlighted the impact factor of blended learning in training prospective neurosurgeons.
The Digital Neurosurgery Project also published articles on blended learning in prestigious neurosurgical academic journals.
